“It is hard to find words to convey the joy of the soul’s loving encounter with God, yet fine music is able to express something of the mystery of his love for us and ours for him.”

Pope Benedicts XVI

St. Patrick's Music Ministry

St. Patrick's Music Ministry

Thank you for visiting our web page!  We seek to enable the sung prayer of  the gathered assembly, and enhance their worship experience through  music, silence, and song.

If  you are willing to teach and be taught; if you are willing to pray and to lead prayer; if you have a  musical gift and are willing to share it with others, then we have a  place for you.  Our choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7 pm from September through Pentecost, and all are welcome to attend any rehearsal to see if you "fit in." Any  music questions, concerns, or ideas can be addressed to Rich Gherardi  through the parish office or via email at music@saintpatricksmilford.com.

Our presentation is as diverse  and varied as our parish's gifts and talents will allow. We incorporate a  number of different musical styles in our weekly liturgy:  Gospel  music, traditional Hymnody and Psalmody, contemporary Catholic music,  and Gregorian chant. Although our current instrumentation focuses on the  organ and piano, we hope to include more ensemble instrumentation as  new musicians join the ministry
